Congratulations to all Hugo Boss watch owners! The watches are made from the highest quality materials and feature the stylish, innovative design that Hugo Boss is famous for. Your Hugo Boss will provide years of reliable timekeeping if taken care of properly. Hugo Boss’ chronograph watch is a popular choice for good reasons.
This guide will help you set up your watch and care for it, whether you are looking at the Hugo Boss watch collection for men or one of our Hugo Boss ladies watches.
HOW TO CHANGE THE TIME ON A HUGO BOMB WATCH
The first thing you should do when you receive your Hugo Boss watch is to set the time. This is how you set the time on your Hugo Boss watch, without using a date/day function.
- The crown, the small knob at the top of the watch’s head, should be removed from the watch.
- Rotate the crown in any direction.
- When you reach the desired time, push the crown back in.
NOTE: Set the minute hand 4 to 5 minutes before the desired time, and then return it to the exact time.
HOW TO SET THE DATE ON A HUGO BOMB WATCH
Here’s how you can set your Hugo Boss watch’s date and/or day function. A small window will display the date and day on the watch’s face.
NOTE: Certain Hugo Boss watches come with a special screw down crown that seals the case against moisture and water. To set the date or time, first turn the screw-down crown anti-clockwise to loosen it (approximately six turns). After setting the time or date, turn the crown clockwise and push it in. Then tighten the crown.
- The crown, the small knob at the top of the watch’s head, should be removed from the watch.
- To set the date, rotate the crown clockwise.
- To set the day, rotate the crown clockwise.
- The crown can then be pulled out completely and rotated in any direction.
- Get the crown fully back!
CAUTION! Never set the date on your watch when the hands are between 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM. This could cause damage to the calendar mechanism. This is because the date changes slowly between 9PM and 3AM. The day/date gear would then be engaged, and you could force the gear to work.
These are the basic steps to setting your Hugo Boss watch. Please refer to your instruction manual for more information on how to set your Hugo Boss watch (or any watch with multiple subdials), or an automatic Hugo Boss watch that has a chronograph function.
HOW TO CHANGE A BIGO BOSS WATCH BOAT
Hugo Boss watches, like many other models, have a power depletion warning feature that will alert you when your battery is about to run out. This lets you know when to replace it as quickly as possible.
The second hand will move at two-second intervals when the battery is nearing its end.

A battery is designed specifically for quartz watches or clocks. Normal use will give it a life expectancy of 18 to 36 months. The case back type of your Hugo Boss watch will determine how to open it to change the battery.
Hugo Boss suggests you do not attempt to change the battery yourself. Instead, take your watch to an Authorized Service Center for the battery to be changed and the old battery properly recycled.
HOW TO CHANGE A BIGO BOSS WATCH STRIP
Hugo Boss watches are available in a range of straps. You can change the style of Hugo Boss watches by removing the pins attached to your case. For more information, see below.
To avoid damage to your strap, it is best to check with a local jeweller if you are not sure. Make sure the replacement strap is compatible with your watch model.
- Hugo Boss watches include pushpins on most models. Check to see if yours has one.
- Place the watch on its back.
- Use a pair or tweezers to locate and press the “switch” (or tiny ball) that unlocks the pushpin. This will release the band from the watch case.
- To install your new watch strap, hook the strap with no pushpin into the hole in the lug and push the ball back to secure it.
HOW TO CHANGE A BIGO BOSS MESH-BRACELET STRAP
Hugo Boss watches with a mesh bracelet can be adjusted by using the hook clasp.
To adjust the size of your bracelet, slide the pin-bar half on the clasp along the bracelet. Use a small tool like a flat-head screwdriver or a flat-head wrench to remove the metal plate from the pin-bar clasp. This will allow you to unlock the clasp position locking mechanism.
HOW TO CLEAN A HUGO BOOSS WATCH LEATHER STRIP
Because it is durable and stylish, leather is a great choice for watch straps. However, leather straps can absorb moisture and can cause damage to the material. It is best to not soak your watch strap in water and avoid contact with perfumes and lotions.
You can wipe your watch strap with mild soap, cold water and a damp cloth. Then let it dry.
A leather conditioner can be used for jewellery and shoes, not furniture. It will keep your leather strap in good condition and protect it from damage and stains. Beeswax can be used as a natural protector for leather.
